SERVICES:

Peer Counseling

Peer Counseling provides 1-on-1 sessions to help fellow students whether it is academic, financial, social, or personal.

SEA CLEAR believes that no one else will be able to understand or help you better than your peers. Your peers understand and may have experienced similar struggles and can help you overcome those struggles.

Through identifying one's own struggle, SEA CLEAR hopes to help you overcome your problems with self determination and motivation and to not only develop you academically, but in many other aspects and to help you gain the advantages and resources needed to make your experience at UCLA successful.

Mentorship

SEA CLEAR Mentorship aims to supplement your college experience by giving you a support system here at UCLA. Get paired up with a mentor or mentee who is in your major, not in your major, or just culturally relevant who will provide support, guidance, and friendship.

Mentorship aims to help yourself identify your needs as a student academically or socially. Mentorship also aims to provide a space to develop new perspectives on issues relevant to the Southeast Asian community.  Professional alumni as well as graduate student alumni serve as mentors for SEA CLEAR Use this opportunity to make friends, have fun, and learn something about yourself and others through SEA CLEAR Mentorship. Get plugged in and take ownership of your education at UCLA-the Southeast Asian way.

Internship

SEA CLEAR Internship provides the unique opportunity for students who want to learn more about themselves, their peers, their community, and discover what it means to make a difference in their community.

With an emphasis with the self, interns find the importance of their background, culture, gender, and involvements in connection to education and their personal lives. Through fun, creative activities, focused topics, and in-depth discussions that take place on an intimate level in a small group setting, we hope to build a community and personal relationships within this space. Internship encourages improving oneself and challenging existing taboos and beliefs.
