Black Hypertension Project

Mission

The Black Hypertension Project (BHP) at The University of California, Los Angeles strives to address the current health disparities being faced by the African American Communities through providing free health-care screenings and health awareness information in the greater Los Angeles area. It is evident that low-income African American communities are at a greater disadvantage for not only health care but also health awareness. Therefore it is the mission of BHP to make a conscious effort to eliminate the health disparities that plague these communities.
